I helped start The Atlantic's Experimental Storytelling team in 2022 with Yuri Victor and Aithne Feay. This project was created during my time on the team. The article was based on a series of diary entries by Tahir Hamut Izgil, who recorded his time in Xinjiang during a police crackdown, in the story 'One by One, My Friends Were Sent to the Camps.' We created a book-like presentation and worked with artist Adam Feriss to create a visual that breaks down as you advance through the story.
